Jesus Calling
By Sarah Young

Let My Presence override everything you experience. Like a luminous veil of Light, I hover over you and everything around you. I am training you to stay conscious of me in each situation you encounter.

When the patriarch Jacob ran away from His enraged brother, He went to sleep on a stone pillow in a land that seemed desolate. But after dreaming about heaven and angels and promises of My Presence, He awoke and exclaimed: "Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it." His discovery was not only from Him but for all who seek me. Whenever you feel distant from me, say, "Surely the Lord is in this place!" then ask me to give you awareness of My Presence. This is a prayer that I delight to answer.

You hide them in the protection of Your presence;
You conceal them in a shelter from the schemes of men,
from quarrelsome tongues.
Psalms 31:20 (HCSB)

11He reached a certain place and spent the night there because the sun had set.
He took one of the stones from the place, put it there at his head, and lay down in that place.
12 And he dreamed: A stairway was set on the ground with its top reaching heaven,
and God’s angels were going up and down on it.
13 Yahweh was standing there beside him, saying,
“I am Yahweh, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac.
I will give you and your offspring the land that you are now sleeping on.
14 Your offspring will be like the dust of the earth,
and you will spread out toward the west, the east, the north, and the south.
All the peoples on earth will be blessed through you and your offspring.
15 Look, I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go.
I will bring you back to this land, for I will not leave you until
I have done what I have promised you.”
16 When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he said,
“Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it.”
Genesis 28:11-16 (HCSB)

God Loves You Unconditionally
For I am persuaded that not even death or life, angels or
rulers, things present or things to come, hostile powers, height or depth,
or any other created thing will have the power to separate us
from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord!
Romans 8:38-39 (HCSB)

Love --knowing you're loved --is what every person wants. Every person wants to feel valuable.
Every single person wants to feel that He or she matters.

Guess what? God loves you unconditionally. He doesn’t love you because of anything you
do or don’t do; God just loves you! There's nothing you can do about it. You can't buy His love.
You can't get rid of His love. Nothing can separate you from the love of God.

You are created by the hand of God on purpose, and you are an unrepeatable miracle.
There is nobody else exactly like you. There never will be anybody else exactly like you.
And God has an amazingly wonderful plan for your life.

PRIDE

Pride leads to shame (Proverbs 11:2)
When pride comes, disgrace follows,
but with humility comes wisdom.
Proverbs 11:2 (HCSB)
Pride leads to arguments (Proverbs 13:10)
Arrogance leads to nothing but strife,
but wisdom is gained by those who take advice.
Proverbs 13:10 (HCSB)
Pride will be punished (Proverbs 16:5)
 Everyone with a proud heart is detestable to the Lord;
be assured, he will not go unpunished.[
Proverbs 16:5 (HCSB)
There is no place for proud boasting in the Christian life (Romans 3:27)
Where then is boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? By one of works?
No, on the contrary, by a law of faith.
Romans 3:27 (HCSB)

** Daily Devotions * FEELING FEAR IS NOT COWARDLY * December 3, 2013 **

POWER THOUGHTS
By Joyce Meyer

FEELING FEAR IS NOT COWARDLY

For God has not given us a spirit of fearfulness,
but one of power, love, and sound judgment.
2 Timothy 1:7 (HCSB)

When the Bible says "God hath not given us the Spirit of fear," it does not mean we will never feel fear. Feeling fear is part of being alive. We may feel fearful when we are doing something we have never done before, or when obstacles seem insurmountable. But this does not mean we are cowards; it simply means we are human. It is cowardly only when we allow our fears to dictate our actions or decisions instead of following our hearts.

Feeling fear is not the same as being afraid --which means letting fearful feelings control our actions. I might feel angry, but I can still choose not to act on my anger and instead respond with forgiveness and love. In the same way, we can feel fear while not letting it influence our decisions.

Jesus Calling
By Sarah Young

DO NOT BE SURPRISED by the fiery attacks on your mind. When you struggle to find Me and to live in My Presence, don’t let discouragement set in. you are engaged in massive warfare, spiritually speaking. The evil one abhors your closeness to Me, and His demonic underlings are determined to destroy our intimacy. When you find yourself in the thick of battle, call upon My Name: "Jesus, help Me!" at that instant, the battle becomes Mine; your role is simply to trust Me as I fight for you.

My Name, properly used, has unlimited Power to bless and protect. At the end of time, every knee will bow (in heaven, on earth, and under the earth) when My Name is proclaimed. People who have used "Jesus" as a shoddy swear Word wil fall down in terror on that awesome day. But all those who have drawn near Me through trustingly uttering My Name will be filled with inexpressible and glorious joy. This is your great hope as you await My return.

"For our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers,

against the authorities, against the world powers of this darkness,

against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens. "

Ephesians 6:12 (HCSB)

"and this whole assembly will know that it is not by sword

or by spear that the Lord saves,  for the battle is the Lord’s.

He will hand you over to us.” 1 Samuel 17:47 (HCSB)

Jesus Calling
By Sarah Young

I AM THE PRINCE OF PEACE. As I said to My disciples, I say also to you: peace be with you. Since I am your constant Companion, My Peace is steadfastly with you. When you keep your focus on Me, you experience both My Presence and My Peace. Worship Me as King of Kings, Lord of Lord's, and Prince of Peace.

You need My peace each moment t accomplish My purposes in your life. Sometimes you are tempted o take shortcuts in order to reach your goals as quickly as possible. But if a shortcut requires turning your back on My peaceful Presence, you must choose the longer route. Walk with Me along paths of Peace; enjoy the journey of My Presence.

* * * Daily Inspirations Devotional * LOVE TRIUMPHS * December 2, 2013 * * *

When bitterness and prejudice abound, it is harder to recall that love triumphs. If you remember, thousands of years ago, Jesus Christ was unjustly tried, mocked, spat on and beat by Roman soldiers and cruelly nailed to a wooden cross.

In the midst of public scorn, derision and unbearable pain, Jesus prayed for those who crucified Him. His love surpassed all the powers of hatred.

Now these three remain: faith, hope, and love.

But the greatest of these is LOVE.

1 Corinthians 13:13

I LOVE YOU with an everlasting Love, which flows out from the depths of eternity. Before you were born, I knew you. Ponder the awesome mystery of a Love that encompasses you from before birth to beyond the grave.

Modern man has lost the perspective of eternity. To distract himself from the gasping jaws of death, He engages in ceaseless activity and amusement. The practice of being still in My Presence is almost of lost art, yet it is this very stillness that enables you to experience My eternal Love. You need the certainty of My  loving Presence in order to weather the storms of life. During times of severe testing, even the best theology can fail you if it isn't accompanied by experiential knowledge of Me. The ultimate protection against sinking during life's storms is devoting time to develop your friendship with Me.

"the Lord appeared to him from far away.
I have loved you with an everlasting love;
therefore, I have continued to extend faithful love to you."
Jeremiah 31:3 (HCSB)

*     *     *     *     *     *     *     *     *     *     *     *     *     *     *

22 Because of the Lord’s faithful love
we do not perish,
for His mercies never end.
23 They are new every morning
great is Your faithfulness!
24 I say: The Lord is my portion,
therefore I will put my hope in Him.
25 The Lord is good to those who wait for Him
to the person who seeks Him.
26 It is good to wait quietly
Lamentations 3:22-26 (HCSB)
